GM does not seem serious about changing its thrust from gas-guzzling to electric propulsion.
It seems just one more public relations ploy, designed to mitigate the onus of “who killed the electric car”.
GM fought desperately to avoid building the EV1, tried to sabotage it by bad batteries, and spent millions fighting to kill the Zero Emission Vehicle Mandate and crush the Electric car.
GM’s destruction of each and every EV1 militates against the idea of their being honest.
