(Bay Area, CA) A non-profit group study says the bottled water you’re drinking might not be as healthy as you think.
Sam’s Choice bottled water sold only at Walmart has been found by the Environmental Working Group to violate the standards set by the state of California for drinking water. The study shows that Sam’s Choice contains chlorine byproducts linked to cancer called trihalomethanes; the California standard is set at 10 parts per billion, while the study shows levels more than three times as much: 35 ppb which is within the federal standard for drinking water.
